Kathryn R. Wedemeyer-Strombel earned her PhD in Environmental Science as a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow at the University of Texas, El Paso. She is an avid traveler, ocean lover, interdisciplinary conservationist, and graduate student advocate. She is a firm believer that graduate school should be challenging, but not traumatic – and hopes that our generation of scholars will drive systemic change in academia.
